Who We Are
Home Bliss is a household-help service in the Greater New Orleans area. We work with busy professional families, working parents, and overwhelmed households — folks who need help with the small everyday stuff so they can focus on what matters.
Our team handles laundry, errands, meal prep, kitchen resets, mail and paperwork sorting, and home organization. Not housecleaning — household help. Think of us as the second set of hands every busy home needs.
What You'll Do
Each week we'll match you with regular clients in the New Orleans metro area. You'll show up, do good work, and leave the home better than you found it. Most work falls into three areas:
Everyday Essentials
Laundry (wash, dry, fold, put away). Grocery shopping and errand runs. Dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up. Returns and post office. Mail and paperwork sorting. "Power hour" help where the client picks the task.
Kitchen & Meal Prep
Meal prep for the week. Kitchen reset (counters, dishwasher, fridge). Pantry inventory and restock. Lunch packing systems. Loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Organization & Reset
Closet and drawer organization. Pantry overhauls. Playroom and toy resets. Linen closets. Garage zoning. Donation drop-off included.
Who We Hire
We're looking for people who are reliable, kind, and take pride in good work. Specifically:
- Reliable transportation (your own car) and a valid driver's license
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- 18 or older
- Pass a background check (we cover the cost)
- Patient, non-judgmental, and discreet — many of our clients are overwhelmed, not lazy
- Take initiative and notice details
- Comfortable around children and pets, even if you're not directly responsible for them
Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, organizing, caregiving, or hospitality is a plus — but not required. We train.
Pay & Perks
How Pay Works
- Starting at $20/hour for everyday help. Higher rates for kitchen and organization work.
- Weekly payments via direct deposit or Zelle (you choose).
- 100% of any tips clients give you stay with you.
- Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate ($0.725/mile) for any drive beyond 15 miles from Metairie.
- Premium pay for same-day, weekend, and holiday visits.

A Note on Classification
Home Bliss contractors are 1099 independent contractors, not W-2 employees. You set your own schedule, you're free to take on outside work, and you're responsible for your own taxes (set aside 20-25% of earnings). Full details in your Pay Sheet, shared when hired.

Quick Questions
How many hours per week can I work?
As few or as many as you can handle. Most work 10-20 hrs/week. Some do 35+. You set your own availability.
Can I do this alongside another job or school?
Yes. Most work is 9am-6pm Mon-Fri with some weekend and evening visits. We only offer you assignments that fit your schedule.
Do I need to bring supplies?
Most clients have their own. For organization projects, Home Bliss provides bins and basic materials.
Is there a dress code?
Clean, comfortable, and modest. No uniform required. Closed-toe shoes recommended.
What if I have a bad day or need to cancel?
Things happen. Tell us as soon as you know. Occasional cancellations are fine; consistent unreliability isn't.
Will I always work with the same clients?
As much as possible, yes. Once you click with a client, we keep that match steady.

Home Bliss es un servicio de ayuda domestica en el area metropolitana de Nueva Orleans. Trabajamos con familias profesionales, padres trabajadores y hogares saturados.
Nuestro equipo se encarga de la lavanderia, los mandados, la preparacion de comidas, la organizacion de la cocina y el hogar. No hacemos limpieza profunda — hacemos asistencia domestica.
Que Haras
Cada semana te asignaremos clientes regulares. Te presentas, haces un buen trabajo, y dejas la casa mejor. Las tareas caen en tres areas:
Tareas Esenciales
Lavanderia (lavar, secar, doblar, guardar). Compras de supermercado y mandados. Tintoreria. Correo y papeles. Ayuda intensiva donde el cliente elige la tarea.
Cocina y Preparacion de Comidas
Preparacion de comidas. Reorganizacion de la cocina. Inventario de la despensa. Sistemas para empacar almuerzos.
Organizacion y Renovacion
Organizacion de armarios y cajones. Renovacion de despensas. Cuartos de juego. Garage. Entrega de donaciones incluida.
A Quien Contratamos
- Transporte confiable (tu propio carro) y licencia de conducir vigente
- Autorizacion legal para trabajar en los Estados Unidos
- 18 anos o mas
- Pasar una verificacion de antecedentes (nosotros cubrimos el costo)
- Paciente, sin prejuicios y discreta
- Toma iniciativa y nota los detalles
- Comoda con ninos y mascotas
Experiencia previa es un plus — pero no requerida. Te capacitamos.
Pago y Beneficios
- Desde $20/hora. Tarifas mas altas para trabajo de cocina y organizacion.
- Pagos semanales por deposito directo o Zelle.
- 100% de las propinas se quedan contigo.
- Reembolso de millaje IRS ($0.725/milla) mas alla de 15 millas desde Metairie.
- Pago premium para visitas el mismo dia, fines de semana y festivos.
- Horario flexible. Flujo constante de trabajo. Bonos trimestrales. Seguro de responsabilidad civil.
Las personas que trabajan con Home Bliss son contratistas independientes 1099, no empleadas W-2. Estableces tu propio horario y eres responsable de tus impuestos (aparta 20-25% de tus ingresos).

Cuantas horas a la semana puedo trabajar?
Tan pocas o tantas como quieras. La mayoria trabaja 10-20 hrs/semana. Algunas 35+.
Puedo hacer esto junto con otro trabajo?
Si. La mayoria del trabajo es 9am-6pm lunes-viernes con algunas visitas los fines de semana.

La mayoria de los clientes tienen sus propios. Para proyectos de organizacion, Home Bliss provee los materiales.
Hay un codigo de vestimenta?
Limpio, comodo y discreto. No se requiere uniforme. Zapatos cerrados recomendados.
Que pasa si necesito cancelar?
Avisanos tan pronto como sepas. Cancelaciones ocasionales estan bien.
Siempre voy a trabajar con los mismos clientes?
En lo posible, si. Una vez que te llevas bien con un cliente, mantenemos esa combinacion.
